Joan Cooper
Client Advocate
Joan Cooper brings an invaluable skill and an ability to connect with people in a genuine, trusting, and approachable manner. Joan’s role at the firm focuses on building relationships with clients and ensuring they feel heard and supported throughout their legal journey. Her warmth and authenticity create a safe space, enabling survivors to open up and trust the firm to advocate for them.
When a survivor files a lawsuit against a person or corporation that has caused them harm, the process can be re-traumatizing, especially when they have to gather documents to help make their case. Joan works directly with our clients and helps make this part of the justice process easier every step of the way.
Joan’s natural ability to connect with people stems from her previous experience as a bespoke fashion designer, where every client relationship was deeply personal and tailored to them. “It was about working one-on-one with individuals,” Joan says, “understanding their needs, and helping them express themselves.” She has transferred that approach to Justice Law Collaborative, where each client receives individual, personal attention.
