BOSTON — Advocates are pressing lawmakers on Beacon Hill to pass legislation that would help victims of child sexual abuse hold their abusers and the institutions that enable them accountable.

“What we’re doing here is trying to work with the legislature to make sure that children have access to justice, people who have been sexually assaulted have access to justice, and the institutions that harbor pedophiles can’t get away with it anymore,” Kim Dougherty, co-founder of the Justice Law Collaborative, said at the rally.
